Privacy Policy

What data we collect

• Product images — synced from your Shopify catalog to power the virtual try-on experience.
• Anonymous usage events — widget impressions, try-on completions, and add-to-cart clicks. No personally identifiable information is attached.
• Aggregate usage counts — monthly generation counts per store for billing purposes.

What we do NOT store

• Customer photos are deleted after processing. Photos uploaded by shoppers are sent to our AI provider for generation and are not retained after the result is delivered.
• No personally identifiable information (PII) of your customers is collected or stored.
• No cookies are set on your storefront by Voilae.

How data is processed

Voilae uses fal.ai for AI-powered image generation. When a shopper initiates a try-on, their photo and the product image are sent to fal.ai for processing. The generated result image is stored temporarily in Supabase for delivery, then automatically cleaned up.

All data in transit is encrypted via TLS. Product images and analytics data are stored in Supabase with row-level security policies scoped to your store.

Data retention and deletion

When you uninstall Voilae, we process a SHOP_REDACT webhook and delete all store data within 48 hours. This includes products, try-on sessions, analytics events, avatars, and tenant records.

Customer data request and deletion webhooks are handled in compliance with Shopify's privacy requirements. Since we do not store customer PII, these requests are acknowledged and logged.

Third-party services

• Shopify — app hosting, billing, and store data access.
• fal.ai — AI image generation (images are processed and not retained by fal.ai beyond generation).
• Supabase — database and file storage.
